Kenneth Kingdon is the author of the American Medical Association publication A Medical Legal Companion to the AMA Guides Fifth, which provides an objective chapter by chapter analysis of the Guides. It is available on the website of the AMA and is sold worldwide, including being favorably reviewed in the Medical Journal of Australia.
As an AMA author Mr. Kingdon was given unprecedented access to the senior editors and authors of the Guides Fifth and he published interviews with those doctors in Using the Guides as Intended: Interviews with the Senior Medical Editor and Principal Chapter Chairs of the AMA Guides Fifth
He publishes the Kingdon Rating Newsletter three times a year, which provides analysis of case law affecting disability rating and apportionment.
He was a reviewer for the Sixth Edition of the Guides, a reviewer for two workbooks published by the AMA on the Sixth Edition, and was a reviewer for the 2019 AMA publication Physician’s Guide to Medicolegal Practice.
He is a certified specialist in Workers Compensation, is on the Executive Committee of the California lawyers Association, and has been selected as a Super Lawyer multiple times. He has done webinars for the CEB, Workcompcentral, the CLA, and most recently spoke at the January 2021 CAAA Convention.
