Ms. Nash currently manages employee related risks for a large retailer with thousands of employees in multiple states. Currently she manages Health Benefits, 401(k), Workers’ Compensation, Disability and Leave of Absences, Unemployment Insurance, Insurance and Risk Pooling, and other various duties. She has been with her employer for more than 25 years, and began with them as a part-time employee while she was in high school. During her time there, she progressed from a part-time employee to managing a retail population, a distribution center population and now works at the corporate office.
Ms. Nash studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix. She has a certificate in Human Resource Management from California State University, San Bernardino. She is also a certified professional holding her SPHR (Strategic Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM’s SCP (Senior Certified Professional). Since 2011, Ms. Nash has also held a position on the Board of Directors as the Programs and Professional Development Chair for the Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA-South Bay). She enjoys the complexity and dynamic nature of employment law and how it integrates with Human Resources.
In her spare time, Ms. Nash enjoys crossfit, weight lifting, and obstacle course racing. She has completed her Spartan Trifecta for the past three years. She feels the mental toughness needed to compete at these levels prepares her for her daily challenges in the workplace.
