Marques Torbert became the Chief Executive Officer of Ametros in 2011, becoming one of the few Millennial CEOs in the workers’ compensation industry. Some of his initiatives include introducing medical networks and pharmacy discounts to help injured workers save money on treatment after they settle their claims and creating a culture of patient advocacy.
Prior to Ametros, he worked on Wall Street as an investor, advisor and strategist in the insurance and business services sector. Previously, Torbert was the principal advisor to Millbrook, an associate with Clarion Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm, and an investment banker with Lazard Freres. He has been instrumental in the sale and acquisition of multiple privately held organizations within the claims solutions management and managed care industries.
Torbert holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ametros Financial and on the Board of Trustees for University School, a private K-12 school in Cleveland. He lives in Boston with his wife Alexandra.
