Dr. Spalding-Dias joined the Carisk team in 2020 as a clinical consultant within the traumatic brain injury program. She is board certified in PM&R as well as Brain Injury Medicine.
Previously, she worked for a year in an outpatient PM&R and Occupational Medicine clinic setting, serving as a primary treating physician for worker’s compensation patients and also providing specialty care for musculoskeletal conditions as well as neurologic conditions.
She then spent 7 years as an attending at the UC Davis PM&R department, where she worked exclusively in the hospital setting. While at UC Davis, she ran the inpatient consultation service, seeing patients in the ICU and acute hospital setting, alongside the primary treating services
(Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Orthopedics, etc.) and was also medical director of the UC Davis 19-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. She cared for patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injuries, neurologic conditions such as stroke, MS, Guillain Barre, burns and major multiple traumas.
She later worked in the subacute rehabilitation setting at the 2 NeuroRestorative (formerly CareMeridian) facilities in the Sacramento area (Granite Bay and Elk Grove). At NeuroRestorative, she provided care for patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurologic conditions, orthopedic injuries, major multiple traumas and complex medical conditions.
Dr. Spalding completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UC Davis in 2009.
