Marissa Brazil is an associate at the firm’s Los Angeles office. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Before becoming an attorney, Marissa spent several years working with Hanna Brophy as a paralegal. In 2016, she decided to attend law school through the two-year accelerated SCALE program at Southwestern Law School. Throughout Southwestern, Marissa not only mentored fellow students as an Ambassador and teaching assistant for evidence and contracts, but also volunteered extensively. She provided legal help to low income individuals through small claims clinics, expungement clinics, VITA clinics, and Bet Tzedek Legal Services.
She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2018 and returned to Hanna Brophy shortly thereafter. She defends insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and governmental entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense.
