M. George Waters graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He is an AV rated attorney, the highest possible rating, under the Martindale-Hubbell law firm rating system. He obtained a law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. He currently serves on the Atlanta Claims Association’s Workers’ Compensation Education Committee and the Atlanta Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Executive Section Committee. He is licensed to practice in Georgia and Tennessee. He has been named as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine for four years. This is an award bestowed on less than 2.5% of attorneys in the state of Georgia. He has handled numerous cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court including Shaw Industries v. Scott, which was a unanimous decision by the Georgia Supreme Court in favor of the Employer/Insurer. He practices in the areas of workers’ compensation defense, including subrogation, as well as general liability, including motor vehicle liability claims, products and premises liability in both Georgia and Tennessee. He has been honored to be invited to speak at multiple seminars on various subjects. He has participated in multiple jury trials and hundreds of hearings and/or mediations.
